Linda Wolfe was never good at dealing with people. It wasn’t that she was difficult to work with; she just had a limited amount of patience at her disposal, and that could disappear in a heartbeat. To Griffin Cadmus, Linda’s old police academy rival, her patience never existed, and was her only shortcoming. When Linda, a small town homicide detective, was forced to work with Cadmus, FBI narcissist extraordinaire, she thought this would be the toughest case of her life.
She wasn’t wrong.
Linda was prepared for a typical murder case. She was not prepared to be hunted, and neither she nor Cadmus were prepared to be placed in the crosshairs.
The Surgeon Strangler was coming for them.
And there was only so far they could run.
Katherine Orozco is a South Texas playwright, poet, and fiction author. She is currently the main stage manager of Zero Untitled Films and Productions, where she writes, directs, and acts in experimental and dark productions that push the boundaries of theatre. She is currently working toward her Master of Arts in cultural studies at Texas A&M University-Kingsville, specializing in British literature. Linda Wolfe’s appearance in Gumball Badges is not the first time this character has surfaced. She also appears as the lead detective in Orozco’s play “Nightmare of Oz,” presented in Theatre off the Stage, an anthology of drama impossible to produce on a stage.
