Israeli-born artist Haim Steinbach questions our connection to everyday things, often by re-presenting a common, utilitarian object taken out of its ordinary context. He is best known for sculptural installations in which he positions several identical objects alongside each other, thereby questioning basic principles of identity in consumer society. Probing the juxtaposition between found objects and photography from different locales, this book documents two projects, one conceived by him and one created by his students while he was a visiting professor in Italy.
Edizione italiana/inglese.
