Welcome to the twisted and magical fantasy world of Kryn. The home of mythical monsters, larger than life heroes, naughty bar maids and the ancient weapon Dragondaggers. Meet the motley crew of outlaws, also known by the name ”The Robbers of the Ravine”, who get together after five years of separation at the Inn of No Tomorrow. Join the strangely familiar characters: Tennis, the neurotic half-elf and the leader of the gang – Praistlin, the sickly wizard hungry for might – Conamon, the token hunk and a beast of burden for his twin brother Praistin – Flimp, the grandfather figure and a blood & booze thirsty dwarf – Tassledork, the cleptomanic lender and a pest with no survival instinct – and the rest group as they wreck havoc where ever they roam.
There are dark forces on a move in Kryn. Evil religious fanatics, Bailadine’s witnesses, are multiplying and they have gathered new hooded and hissing allies. A weird bunch of ringspectres under the leadership of Witch-prince are also after a certain Dorfo Bagg... I mean Mr. Downhill and his three little friends. To make matters worse, there are wild rumours cirlulating about the return of the most boring... No! I mean the most magnificent monsters of all time – Dragons!
Tennis and his friends are thrown in the middle of chaotic events and they must decide if they are up for the task. The final decision rests on the narrow shoulders of Tennis, the doubtful Worry-Elven suffering from occasional panic attacks and anxiety seizures. Is he willing to risk himself and his companions’ lives for the sake of saving Kryn one more time from the upcoming disaster? What about his own dreams of family and solitude with his former lover, the feisty and ambitious woman warrior Kitananna Uh Madam?
Mixed up the general confusion are also: the righteous but timid ’wannabe-knight’ Strump Flightblade with his trademark moustache and pawnshop armour. The volumptous and busty redhead, Kati Longway, who is seeking adventures preferably in the sheets of a charismatic and handsome hero. And the primitive couple: beautiful and simple princess Foolsgold and her jealous betrodhed lama shepherd, Humpback.
The reluctant leader of the group is Tennis Worry-Elven, a half-breed brought up in Elven court of Guanonest. He was banished with a nasty curse – ”Continuum of misfortune” – by his benefactor Elvenking Solostar – ”Tap Dancer of the Sun” – after his unfortunate romance with his stepsister, teenaged elven pincess Lauthana.
Flimp Strokehammer is over 300 years old dwarf troubled by high-cholesterol, temper tantrums and ailments of old age. His retirement plans of sipping sangria in the southern sun while filling Sudoku’s are once again postponed. In spite of his protests, the old dwarf is companied by one of the Kryn’s most hated nuisances – a lender – Tassledork Thistlepaw. The little thief thinks Flimp is his best friend for ”Tass” got imprinted to Flimp after he had once saved the lender from a ditch and offered him some cabbage soup and a bed for a night.
The symbiotic twins, wizard novice Praistlin Majones and his warrior brother Conamon are a dynamic fighting duo. But their relationship has became even more complicated after Praistlin has managed to barely survive the wizard test that also destroyed his poor health for good. But now Praistlin finally possesses’ the might he’s always dreamed of and a wizard staff worthy of his new powers. He has sacrifed so much, but are the dark profecies about his glorious future just bullshit made up by his masters in The Wizard Brotherhood?
In their adventure the heroes bump into the friendly but sadistic pit elf, Zirdzt O’Murder, and his pet astral puma
