Pulling the strings of the impossibly attractive Detective Cairo is more challenging but doable. Moving people into place like chess pieces is all too elementary for Daemon. But in the end he must confront what it will ultimately cost him to get the justice he so desperately seeks. Is he willing to pay that price with his and Samson’s lives?
