Yes, Lord: A Surrendered Life

Yes, Lord: A Surrendered Life

Boyd Hopkins
0/5 ( ratings)
From the opening chapter on what it means to “repent and believe” to the closing chapter on Jesus’ restoration of Peter, the theme is about surrender to Christ and dependence on His strength rather than on our own. It’s about giving Him our “yes” in as many ways as we can. To that end, I have called this book Yes, Lord.
As Yes, Lord developed, I added prayer times to the end of each chapter. Each prayer time is intended to facilitate an encounter with the living God as you respond to the Holy Spirit’s invitation to say “yes” to Him. The prayers are patterned after Jesus’ call to repent and believe in Mark 1:15. My hope is that you will experience a deeper surrender to Christ as you pray through them.
This book is intended to build your walk with Jesus Christ. It can be read in one sitting as an immersion experience. It can also be read as a 31-day devotional. I encourage doing both. The experience of a continuous read will take you deep into an encounter with the Christ who calls us to surrender to His strength rather than living by our own. Going on to read it through as a devotional will allow time for processing and prayer in between each chapter. This approach will help you to build new foundations into your life as the Spirit of God equips you with practical tools to follow Him in the life He has called you to.
If you are a new believer, these devotionals will help you set the tone for your relationship with Him. If you are a seasoned believer, these devotionals will affirm you in a walk of ongoing surrender. If you are coming out of a legalistic or performance-based type of religious experience, these devotionals will help you reframe how you view God, empowering you to walk a journey of freedom rather than one of guilt and failure.
Be blessed as you walk in the grace of Jesus Christ!
