As I Recall - The Police Stories and Reminiscences of Lieutenant Bill Smith as told to former Officer George Roland Wills 2 - The Second Book

As I Recall - The Police Stories and Reminiscences of Lieutenant Bill Smith as told to former Officer George Roland Wills 2 - The Second Book

Former Officer G. R. Wills
5/5 ( ratings)
The Second Book of the real life police stories from the Daytona Beach Police Department as told by the 25 year veteran, Lieutenant Bill Smith, to his friend, former Daytona Beach Police Officer George Roland Wills. This book also has a number of officially documented quite incredulous arrests, lucky breaks, and tragedies from Bill's years as a supervisor, and as the head of an undercover narcotics task force assigned to the department. In this book, we shall watch as Bill breaks up some mouthy motorcycle gangs, brings order to street fights, controls the crazies in the 1400 ward, goes deep in the projects, years before the Age of Political Correction, and even learns how to refine his own technique when confronting an armed suspect. We see how some of the female officers are completely as advertised, and, in many ways, even more capable than some of their male counterparts. We get a glimpse into Bill's very early pre-policing 'wild side,' as well, something that I am sure upon which he was most reticent to speak, except as a memoir. Again, this second book will keep you turning the pages.

Whether you are a cop junkie, or not, this book will grab you, and keep your attention.

The Bonus Section of this book includes a couple of stories from my father, retired VCSO Deputy George A. Wills, and three from my brother, former Officer R. Kemper Wills, Port Orange Police Department.
