Winning the Weight Loss War, How I Lost 100 Pounds for Good - and How You Can, Too.

Winning the Weight Loss War, How I Lost 100 Pounds for Good - and How You Can, Too.

Rivka Fuchs
0/5 ( ratings)
This is the story of one woman's life-long struggle with obesity. After reaching 223 1/2 pounds at the age of thirty-eight years old, she finally starts a journey to lose more than 100 pounds and keep them off.
In Chapter One, the author recalls, "I looked down at my thighs when I was eight years old and saw the fat. I was horrified," beginning a page-turning book.
The book relates how the author ran from one diet place to another, never successfully getting to goal and/or keeping off weight until she finally learns to trust herself and address issues in her life as opposed to only focusing on the food on her plate.
She discusses the need for a holistic approach - one that combines changes on the level of body, mind and soul.
Most important is the format of the book. At the end of every chapter there is a "Write Your Own Story" section with questions and blank pages for the reader to write down their answers. These questions encourage the reader to determine what will work best for them to aid in their weight loss efforts. Not only do these questions inquire about eating habits but also has the reader delve into many areas of life that need to be addressed before being able to successfully lose weight.
This will enable to reader to discover how to create their own weight loss plan. They will learn how to make food choices and lifestyle changes that work best for them.
Never again will they have to starve or compulsively count calories to attain and maintain a healthy weight.
The author has now maintained the 100 pound weight loss for more than twenty years.
