Truly a book for all; educators, doctors, nurses, parents, grandparents, neighbors, and friends!

Food allergies are so much more than just not being able to eat something!

This is a mother’s journey raising a child with allergies. A mother who encountered many forks in the road, but does not give up. Motivation from seeing her son's disappointment day in and day out. Heartache with every reaction. Elliott, the young boy in the story, has multiple food allergies, seasonal allergies, and environmental allergies. There are moments of frustration, suffering and confusion. A story about a mother’s desire to keep her son safe, even if advocating for her son means the loss of her teaching position.

"I can't even begin to imagine all the heartache and worry this mother has been through! I mean, we all worry about our kids, but she has a real reason to be scared each and every day. I like that the book has pictures - it really helps to see the innocent little boy and shows all the reactions described aren't being exaggerated. I like that Michele Schroeder is real. She is very good at describing her thoughts about each event as it happened and believe it or not, her humor helps the reader through heart-wrenching events and gives comic relief when needed. The author is not afraid to show her faults as a wife and mother or call herself a crazy lady - we all feel that way at times! I love that she credits friends, family, and anyone who helps her as I think it provides hope for others who are going through similar struggles." -Abby, teacher and mother of 2 non-allergic children

“A candid story of the struggles related to food allergies from a mom's perspective. As a mom, you relate to Michele's feelings. As a reader, you recognize your responsibility to do what we can to care for our youth's safety from disguised dangers.” - Krystle, developed allergies as an adult and mother of 2 non-allergic children

"This book is simply amazing! The author is a very strong & dedicated person always sticking to her guns even when it feels like everyone is against her! Without people like her, changes won't get made!" - Jennifer, mother of 2, one with allergies and one without
