Nicole Seitz created a masterpiece with this volume. She poured her heart and soul into this book and its publication -- all for a noble cause. Proceeds from the book help flood victims in South Carolina. Win/win/win for the readers, the authors, and the flood victims. Bravo!
A wonderful collection of inspiring and encouraging stories by well-known authors. The authors donated their stories to help flood victims. Profits go to Red Cross. The project was inspired by the recent 1000 year floods in South Carolina. You'll love the stories. This makes a wonderful gift for men, women, teens, preteens.
This book is a compilation of stories and poems written by various authors from the southern part of the US. Money raised from the sale of this book went toward disaster relief after the South Carolina flood of 2015. All stories are water related. Of course I enjoyed some more than others but overall, I thought it was a quite good book.
I loved this book and I read it in short bits. I put this book so I could read it when I am not around my other books that I am working on. I would say that I laughed, I cried and it brought a smile to my face. It is an amazing book if you are going through some trouble times or have gone through them. You can relate in some way to the stories and the poems in them even if you never went through a flood. I would read this book again and again in the future.
This collection of essays, poems, and short fiction brims with true reflections of humanity--of our relationships to water and to God, of loss and life and the funny way God often has of using the former to pour out the latter.Though the incredible contributor list (including Lisa Wingate, Sarah Loudin Thomas, Karen White, Nicole Seitz, and many others) initially piqued my interest, it's the beauty of the collected thoughts in this little book that will earn it future rereads.
