WHY I WROTE THIS STORY In a moment life can change, one phone call, one bad diagnosis from a Doctor! Health. Death. Financial problems. Anything can stop you in your tracks. All of a sudden all that seemed so important now means nothing! It's not what you go through, but how you go through it. Trust me... You don't know until it stares you right on the face. In 2005, I faced life at its most difficult. My beautiful sister, Linda, was told she had cancer. She lost her battle ten months later. Her death made me really take inventory of my priorities. Linda and my dog, Latte, inspired my short story, "It's All Just Stuff." The years that have followed, revealed fully what Linda had told me; "God has a purpose for Latte in your life and one day you will under-stand." Latte was a loving, loyal faithful friend, a companion who loved unconditionally. No wonder Dog spelled backwards spells God. Latte went to His heavenly home suddenly, on June 19, 2014, after being by my side every moment for the past six months as I laid in a hospital bed in my great room. That very day, I had my hospital bed picked up. I believe God created our furry little ones to teach us, their masters, many of life's valuable lessons. I believe they are truly a gift from God! It's All Just Stuff!!
