Tom Blake is down on his luck. A New York City private investigator and lawyer, he has been driven to alcoholism over the deaths of his wife and daughter who were killed by gang crossfire. One day, waking to find himself broke and sharing a gutter with a bum, Tom returns to his office only to be met there by Grace Andrews, a gorgeous woman with a big problem.
