Kim Williams' wonderful opening poem, The Stone of Life , perfectly demonstrates her love of the natural world, and her incredible poetry skills.
The other poems, presented chronologically, were written between the ages of 12 and 15. They are calm, wild, happy and mournful, and deal with a variety of life and death issues, in part because she herself was dying.
These poems reveal not only her maturity but her dignity. This is a very humbling collection.
