Back Mid August: Cautious adventures in an array of strange and wonderful places

Back Mid August: Cautious adventures in an array of strange and wonderful places

Andrew Robinson
0/5 ( ratings)
Like most small boys, I had an intrigue with buses and trains and daydreamed about riding them to strange and wonderful places. As you get older, the dreams seem to fade and you realise that public transport can be monotonous and the destinations often don't live up to expectations. For me, the dreams have never entirely died and I've had the opportunity to re-capture the fascination of journeys to far-off places and intriguing people

There really are places with endless ski runs, perfect coffee, friendly people and an affordable cost of living. Equally, there are some hot, filthy exhausting places that are difficult to enjoy but with a little patience, a fascinating timeless side can usually be found. There's been a few laughs along the way, but it's important to laugh with the people, not at them. It's their part of the world and I was just a guest who passed through, briefly glimpsing their way of life. So, why not join me in exploring some of the worlds more interesting places, some main-stream, some rather off-beat.
