“The Haram In The Boko”, with the sub heading-- “The Story of Terror and The Nigerian Army” is a fictional work that tells the contemporary Nigeria’s story of nationhood, terrorism and the double standard dealings of the Western world, which has off course attracted more woes than friends to her, despite her contributions to world peace, civilisation and development. The plotting goes down into the formative years of Africa’s promised hope to the world in 1965, and exhume a story of doom’s day prophesy and a mandate for terrorism and uprising against the state, which ironically came to fulfilment through an offspring of a patriotic soldier of the Federal Republic.
Although, the prophecy and the mandate did not find fulfilment for decades, until the 21 century age of information technology and too much knowledge, when Boko Haram, the dreaded terrorist group, literary translated to mean (Western ways is Abomination“ in Hausa language, one of the major languages spoken in the country, emerged. The work keeps a tap and traced on the genealogy and decades of searching for a willing vessel in whom the doom’s day prediction and machination would find fulfilment, until Abubakar Shekau, a Prince and an offspring of one of the early days soldiers, whom along with many others across the country and their families, built the comradery and the only remaining fabric that exists and still keeps the troubled Africa’s most developed and civilized state together
Shekau is the leader of “Doom’s Day son of doom, whom prophecy had gone out ahead several decades ago; he has just shown up and signed for the doom’s day mandate. And Boko Haram is Haram in the Boko!
But would he destroy what his ancestors and others laboured and sweated to build, or would there be no one from the league of patriots to stop him from destroying the labour, sacrifices and legacies of heroes past and everyone?
