Torn Asunder - The Second American Civil War

Torn Asunder - The Second American Civil War

R.D. Strahan
0/5 ( ratings)
The President of the United States was elected with great fanfare. Buoyed by his victory, he has forced a radical agenda on the American people through a compliant Congress. However, as he approaches the end of his term, he is moving even more aggressively to bypass Congress, to enact even more radical agenda items that he could not push through even a weak Congress. He is calling the Constitution ‘just a piece of paper’, and ignoring the constitutional restrictions on the power of the President, restricting the basic freedoms of the American people. His actions are radically dividing the nation as people are forced to finally take sides. Then, facing a complete repudiation of all his actions and the threat of having everything he had done, everything he stood for, destroyed by the next administration, the President takes a final decisive step, suspending the Constitution and declaring martial law.

This final action is enough to trigger a revolt that rips America apart, with neighbor turning on neighbor, with the military having to decide which side to come down on. As the split becomes more bitter, common people join in to pick up their arms to defend their beliefs. But no matter who wins, will America ever be ‘one nation, undivided’ again?
