HONEY MOON: Honey is a character larger that life. We met her at 16 years old. She's a hoyden who enters the Hollywood world. She met Dash who is going to be a father figure before he became her man. When she grew up, I mourned the little girl in her. I cried a lot during the middle part, for Honey and for Eric. Eric, who was finally happy before life threw hardship at him, AGAIN. The reunion between Eric and Honey came out of nowhere but it didn't spoil my reading. And thank God for the Happy E...
No hay libro malo de Susan Elizabeth Phillips, aunque hay mejores que éste
Honey Moon is my absolute favorite book. It broke my heart, the let it soar. I read this probably 8yrs ago, but I remember it like I read it yesterday.
This compilation of two novels is a study in contrasting settings: Poverty/Hollywood and San Francisco society/Silicon Valley entrepreneurs. In Honey Moon, dirt poor Honey Jane Moon (responsible and resourceful) and cousin Chantal (beautiful but unambitious) win a beauty contest which includes an audition for a TV show. They travel from rural South Carolina to Hollywood. The wrong cousin is selected for the TV show, but fortune ensues. It could all have ended there, but the characters evolve and...
BEST BOOK EVER!!!!
Honey Moon:Rags-to-riches story of a child star who falls in love with both her co-stars.The superior of the the two stories in this book, because the characters have more depth and SEP doesn't shy away from controversy here.Hot Shot:Rich socialite falls for young silver-tongued rebel with a vision that could change the whole computer industry. The story was alright, but I didn't really like the characters (yes, even Susanna)... Sam in particular was someone I'd avoid in real life (even at the b...
The two stories are rather different though following the classic principle of a novel: Woman finds good man, but there's trouble that she has to overcome before there is a happy end. To my mind, Honey Moon was a much better story than Hot Shot simply because it was more believable. If I could split the rating, I'd give Honey Moon 4 stars and Hot Shot 3.
love all of her books
This book was so good, I read it on my Kindle then turned around and downloaded on Audible. Love Susan Elizabeth Phillips. She has the best narrators for audio books.
only read honey moon. did not find hot shot interesting.
Great romance! Each story Susan Elizabeth writes is full of emotion, laughter, and romance. Susan is a wonderful writer! I have read all of her books and love each one.
The stories are decent enough, but I had trouble getting into them.
