Original title Beloved Viking.
Shala was desperate. She was of the cliff dweller tribe, the Anasazi, and had been banished from her tribe for refusing the shaman. Her hopes were almost gone when she heard the scream of the mountain lion and found the wounded warrior. With his help her chances of surviving the long winter increased. But he was so big, such a mountain of a man. If he refused to help her he would be an added danger to her.
Eric, the golden haired Viking was a leader of men, but now was doomed to live in an unknown wilderness that seethed with strange, savage creatures. When the dark haired beauty appeared to help and heal him, he decided to take her back to Norway with him. She would make a very nice concubine. But Shala had other plans. She would not be anyone's slave and when she fled Eric he was outraged, and used her own people-- the astonishing Anasazi-- to pursue her to the farthest regions of this strange land.
