This is a collection of the short stories from the first year of the Lethbridge-Stewart series. The Enfolded Time by Andy Frankham-Allen: Exclusive to this collection, this is actually set much later than the Lethbridge-Stewart series, in 1990. It attempts to come up with a solution to the UNIT dating problem with has worried Doctor Who fans for many years. The solution is inelegant but it works and we get a nice little story. The Creatures in the Cave by Rick Cross: At the end of the Doctor Who
We've tackled these stories over at the Doctor Who podcast Traveling The Vortex, but having them all in one place and getting the "bonus" and brilliant The Enfolded Time by series editor Andy Frankham-Allen feels like a Christmas present you really wanted but didn't think anyone would actually get you. A great collection of Lethbridge-Stewart year one short stories and an interesting preview of this years slate.
Unfortunately this consists mainly of stories released as ebooks set between the various books in the series. This means that when I read this I found it confusing as the context isn't there for when each story occurs. It also meant when I read the novels some of these stories were mentioned but I hadn't read them so that was confusing as well. The stories don't work well for me. Most of them are ok but they didn't grip me.
A great set of short stories that really help to flesh out the gaps between the novels in this series.
