I was born Bedfordshire and after studying for a degree in Zoology and Science I decided to stay and work at The University of Nottingham. One minute I was a business woman with a partner and two small children, the next a single mum with all the ups and downs that brings. Eventually moving back to my home village of Riseley in Bedfordshire I began to put my experiences of the early years down on paper.
