Stephen Folkes, a college student, dies prematurely when he stumbles upon the commission of armed robbery. He returns to Earth to warn mankind that their imminent extinction has become a distinct possibility. Although the advance of civilization has reduced man’s evil tendencies, evil has made greater strides in terms of potency. While in earlier times a true manifestation of evil could change the course of history for a hundred or a thousand years, now evil can end history altogether. Stephen returns to earth empowered by God to warn mankind. At stake is the fate of the human race. Stephen starts the task confidently and smoothly but soon learns that being a messenger is no simple task. He wrestles with the obstacles and his own doubts about whether mankind should be saved.
