This was such an enjoyable read. This is my second Mike Omer book, and I have thoroughly enjoyed both of them. The characters are quite diverse, and I really like the humour the Author has added in. Kind of like an updated version of the The 87th Precinct series of police procedural novels and stories by Ed McBain, though I find those to be more humorous. Anticlimactic and boring Unfortunately this book is terribly boring compared to the other Glenmore Park crime reads, which is surprising considering the writing skill of the author. Two separate cases, four detectives, two murders and no thrill, no chase, no “who dun it”. Average story. There isn't much suspense that leaves you hanging onto the edge of your seat. the story plods along.

Mike Omer has again written a brilliant story.We see a lot more of some of our favourite characters from the first book and now we know them better it's a lot easier to keep up with who is who.2 separate murders, 2 separate victims. This was a brilliant read and still had me gripped however it lacked a bit of suspense which is why I have marked it down a star.Nonetheless still a brilliantly written book.

Typical of This Author ... Quality Storytelling With HumorThe characters continue to grow in their personality, and even Mitchell becomes more likable (is this a spoiler alert?). This was a page-turning quick read. The story lines are different than in the other three Mike Omer books I've read (the first of each series), which was a pleasant and enjoyable surprise.

A peek at the various reasons for murderI enjoyed this book because it shows different killings for each one. I really couldn't imagine having to sift through the process of uncovering a killer. Three stars is generous, I wish Goodreads would give us half-star options, how hard could it be? Two-and-a-half stars is more accurate. This book was not up to Mike Omer's standards; his first Glenmore Park Mystery was much better. In this book, Omer seemed to be trying to flesh out his characters and their relationships.
