The plot and the writing were dull, and the art looked very rushed, probably the worst out of all the Rebirth issues (the way the faces are drawn... so weird), my least favourite so far.
The Justice League simply isn't my cup of tea, most of the time. And that is the case here. The writer couldn't convey a story that hooked me and the artist didn't wow me enough to make up for that. It won't be on my pull list, but maybe with enough good word of mouth I'll read it in volumes later.
I gave up with the new 52 justice league, and not because it was bad or anything it just totally got away from me i had no clue what was going on, nor the time to figure out where or how i lost off so i just called it quits. So trying again, this wasn't anything to shout about you could easily skip this issue. It also focuses on the whole superman thing and that is getting tedious there's now this, superman and action comics all focusing on the same superman story like it's becoming super repeti...
Art wasn't that good :(
Surprisingly underwhelmed. It felt like any kind of random issue mid series; then intent is there, but not much is happening. And the art... everything looked wrinkled. It was distracting.
2.7 starsThe Reapers have come to harvest the humans, but the Justice League consisting of Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Cyborg & the two rookie Green Lanterns come to the rescue. Superman eventually joins them after he & Lois have a discussion about their lives. I HATED the artwork for this issue... it was just plain horrific. The story-line was choppy. I expected better from this issue because it was a Justice League team-up. I was waiting to see if they were going to incorporate the other
A really interesting start to the series.I will say I'm surprised that Victor doesn't have his own series, but I guess maybe the New 52 saw to that. I would like to see more of the Reapers, they seem pretty interesting.
Nothing is amazing... except Flash somehow.Okay, I've said before that I'm not going to continue with the rebirth, but I decided to give it another chance. Now I can say clearly that I'm done with it. Just it's not for me. I was thinking that the rebirth will be something like a new start for the characters, but it was far away from that.I'll run away from anything holding the word rebirth from DC. They're suitable for those who're following from the previous issues before the rebirth, not for t...
3.5 stars! This was my first Justice League comic and I have to say, a solid read!
Not bad. Hitch and Daniels is a good combo.
It's gonna be interesting seeing the Superman from the old world work with the rest of Justice League. And this new villain sounds like the thing that took over Superman in Batman Beyond, anyone who thinks the same? (view spoiler)[Also, it's called a reaper? I gasped out aloud, like it's the name that real life vigilante dressed like Batman in Moscow used. (hide spoiler)]
Pretty solid JLA story, though there were instances where characters would state what their contribution to the team would be and we'd see nothing more of it. Moments where I'd assume another team player would have been better suited for a task. A few moments where I'd have a thought on what might help, and many pages later it's only briefly mentioned for consideration. I get that a lot is happening. I also appreciate Superman and Lois' talk, though I think the subject matter of the talk would h...
I wasn't a fan of the Justice League: Rebirth one-shot. The danger was some stupid space squid that the team was fighting. The art just didn't seem all that great. The parts dealing with Superman were interesting but everything else was rather sub-par.
Nothing special- Superman is dead and replaced with another. No characters stand out, will not pursue story. Some giants form from the earth-stupid
This version of The Justice League is eight deep and very formidable.
Definitely THE worst DC book this week , ofcourse considering it was Rebirth one-shot i didn't expect much from it but sadly what little i expected was too much to ask . The plot focussed on the new Superman comtemplating whether or not he wants to join the Justice league ** Duh! Meanwhile another Tentacled freak is trying to wreck havoc* and Justice league trying to fight it until Superman shows up and whoops it's sorry ass .It basically does nothing in terms of either the plot or trying to cor...
Not a bad start but nothing to get me excited. I will check out the next one and see how it goes!
For the love of God, work on your artworks. It looks terrible, like a draft. Maybe the creators been watching too much Hentai. You just wanted to show off the new Superman, didnt you DC? I guess, I will get around the Green Lantern couple, but the artwork, Hell No.The big JLU win moment looked like 10th Doctor fleeing off the Atraxis - So Basically Run [image error]
I read this a few weeks ago when it first came out, but I'm just now getting around to reviewing it.I don't know much about Bryan Hitch, but since DC is letting write and illustrate one of its premiere series, they must have a lot of faith in the guy. After reading this book, I'm pretty sure I don't have as much faith in him as they do. Let me start with his art first. The art is pretty poor in m opinion. To be one of the biggest books that DC puts out, this series should have one of the top tie...
I liked this rebirth issue. Superman is coming into the story a bit at a time. After all despite his appearance, this is a NEW Superman to them. This story served its purpose, to set up the characters of the Justice League. Looking forward to more.
