Ehh, not bad, not awesome either, but not bad. I love Wolverine and The Punisher, so I’m biased, but... ehh, not bad.3/5 Skulls ☠️☠️☠️
Meh. Yeah, you heard me. Meh. How could I make such a sound when it covers two characters I am rather fond of, in Wolverine and Punisher? The sad truth is because these are two characters that don't really occupy the same kind of threat. I mean really? Logan is a nearly indestructible, genetically enhanced mutant, while Frank is a normal human with combat experience during his time in the Marine Corps. Logan fights superbeings and Frank shoots crack dealers. This strange dichotomy in their funda...
This book was a roller coaster of some good and terrible stories. I came across some of the worst art and characterization I've ever seen in a comic book. Yet at the same time, there were other stories with different creative teams that really left me impressed. If you fans of these characters check it out. Otherwise stay away.
A fun collection of reads. I have to admit, 80's Wolverine had flowing locks that even a romance novel cover model would envy.
This was super enjoyable. Revelation and Bloodlines had some of my favorite art. I really liked the storyline of Marvel Knights 16 and 17 and the aftermath where Logan gets Frank back for flattening him with a road roller. I think I like them as a duo the most because the banter is hilarious and they both judge the other harshly on their ideologies. Frank calling Logan a liberal made me laugh.
Three and a half stars rounded down.Back in the day, when the Beatles were still a thing, superhero team-ups were cool – an event that didn’t happen often and when it did – Johnny Comic Book reader couldn’t wait to lay down his 12 cents on the pharmacy counter.Today, name a hero team-up (outside of Power Girl and Zatanna) that would generate any excitement. Drawing a blank? Me too. See? Been there, done that.In this volume, as the title clues you in, the team-up concept is stretched fairly thin....
Punisher / Wolverine African Saga - Carl Potts & Jim Lee - 5 StarsI'm giving this one five stars just for the early Jim Lee art alone. Punisher and Wolvie cross paths for the first time in the Congo when they are both on the hunt for poachers. Logan mistakes Frank for a poacher and they fight. I found it interesting that they don't even catch each other's names or even realize they are on the same side. Wolverine / Punisher: Damaging Evidence - Carl Potts & Gary Erskine - 2 StarsGary Erskine mak...
Carl Potts with Jim Lee was better !!!
