Looks like I have a new comic series to get. This first issue of The Hunt was really good. The story is about Irish folklore/ghosts and it is just a very creepy and unsettling read. The story even takes place in Ireland. The writing is really strong and doesn't try to be over the top about anything, it is very subtle in tone. The art is something special. Colin Lorimer is writing and illustrating this comic and with the special coloring by Joana Lafuente, it is beautiful. This is some of the bes...
Very much looking forward to the next issue! Exactly what I was looking for. Creepy & supernatural.
The opening of this book was brilliant, I was glued to the pages after that. I can see this series going somewhere interesting and I'll be along for the ride. This is one of those picks based on the cover and I have to say it's a solid choice. The tone of the issue is unsettling and that ending leaves room to breath.
certainly interesting, and a bit terrifying. Just wondering if people from Wicklow talk like that though, do they say 'me ma', figured thats more of a Dublin thing.
Super creepy. Not sure I'll be able to finish the series cause it freaks me out too much. However, it was a good story, great writing and awesome art. Anyone that is into the horror genre should check it out! I picked it up by mistake, but, don't regret it.
This was a compelling start to what looks to be a pretty creepy book by author/illustrator Colin Lorimer. We get a solid mix of hints at the bigger story that's unfolding along with plenty of unanswered questions. The mythology of this is clearly deep. I had a slight frustration over who the numerous characters were, especially with a lot of scene-jumping in this first issue. But I also wonder if that was part of the author's plan, and it wasn't so much to keep me from wanting to read more. (Fin...

This gave me a slight Wytches vibe. It was a bit hard to follow at times, but I'm interested to see where it goes.
Orla Roche is haunted by creatures, but she’s been told they’re just dreams”. Unfortunately, the dreams have started to be more realistic as time has passed and now he has to decide how to handle the revelations these creatures bring. Irish mythology comes to life in THE HUNT, how will Orla handle it?This was one of the last things I read while I was living in Ireland and it was very good, but I felt like I was missing the background information on the creatures. They weren’t familiar to me beca...
Orla lost his dead when she was young. She is in high school (or college) now living at her grandma's home but the terror of loosing her father is haunting her still. It's because his death was not normal. One day he disappeared and Orla "knows" that his soul is being tortured by some strange creatures living in a forest surrounding her former home. And now the creatures might be coming for her.I can compare this to Wytches but I liked Wytches much more.
