Starbeans: A Coffee Conspiracy

Starbeans: A Coffee Conspiracy

Brittany Rohm
4.3/5 ( ratings)
Matthew Norton adored caffeine, preferably in the roasted bean form, dripped pleasantly into a thick black liquid, but America twisted it into a weapon of betrayal, launching Matthew’s love of coffee, and his life, into utter chaos. Starbeans is that conspiracy, a political satire masquerading as a spy novel.

Our hero Matthew was a suave financial analyst with little aspiration, until he unwittingly discovers top secret CIA documents buried in a decommissioned bunker beneath his condominium. Project STAR is no simple secret, and with the Starbeans Corporation at the center of this enterprise, Matthew is left to question the fabric of his being. Who knows about this and who can he tell? Will he ever be able to enjoy his morning brew again? Can he even handle his first date with Jessica?

Jessica Morrison, a sexy brunette working at Starbeans, arrives for their date only to find Matthew running from the woods, holding Project STAR overhead like the arc of the covenant. Matthew's best friend Victor Hobbs, a hot shot millionaire, shows up minutes later at Jess’ request, and Matthew is left to share his befuddling secret. No one asks to be an American vigilante, but with the CIA bearing down, the trio is thrust into action, taking their fight to Starbeans headquarters in Seattle. Their pursuers nearly catch them in an antique shop, but the group escapes to Washington D.C. on the private jet of Starbeans’ CEO. Confronting the president is the only option, their only hope of ending this masquerade.
