In 1978 the Victoria and Albert Museum acquired an album containing 223 designs for printed textiles. These watercolour drawings are the only extant evidence we have of William Kilburn's activities as a designer, yet they more than justify his reputation.
This book contains 34 examples of his work.
NB: The author's name is not included on the title page, it is recorded on the British Library Cataloguing in Publication Data on the reverse of the half-title page.
