Sterling Honeybloom P.I.: Eeny, Meany

Sterling Honeybloom P.I.: Eeny, Meany

Claire Raines
3.7/5 ( ratings)
Getting caught by the cops is never a good thing.
Getting caught by the cops while you are peeping into a nursing home with binoculars?
You better hope the ground opens up and swallows you whole. Especially when your sidekick warning system is in the backseat snoring, you look like a bum, and the cop in question is Detective Yummy.
Sterling Honeybloom’s private investigating career is already on the skids. She went from busting a murder for hire plot on Facebook, admittedly it was her own, to taking cases that real private investigators wouldn’t touch with a ten foot pole. Taking pictures of old men letting their dogs poop on their neighbors yards, destroyed cupcake towers, and cat fights on front lawns was not what she had in mind.
Her next big case is also in the realm of slightly ridiculous, kidnapped trained waiter lemurs. However it requires all of her focus. The two main players in this little drama are old social enemies of Sterling’s, Shelia Aldrich and Odelia Wellington. The hate runs deep and thick but it is not the animals fault she doesn’t like their owner. It is also not the animals fault she can’t quite seem to keep her mind and eyes off of Detective Yummy, Camden Jacob’s butt. Not only does it not help find the animal, it does not help with her with Mak and the sort of relationship that they have going.
She has to start taking this job seriously before she loses her boyfriend. Or something bad happens to the lemurs which is a good possibility when the bad guys are real bad guys. Assassins and animal smugglers is a whole different league than she is use to. People may just get hurt and something may just blow up if Sterling isn’t careful.
