A lifelong Batman fan, I stopped reading comics about a decade ago, in part because I was starting to feel like there were no new stories left to tell about these characters -- that they had been, over six decades of continuous publication, creatively and culturally exhausted. But when I saw the new Batman annual, I figured this would be a good opportunity to revisit the character -- especially in light of DC's recent lineup-wide continuity reset -- without having to commit myself to the sprawlin...
This was not worth the extra two dollars to me. The Ace the Bathound story was cool, but the other ones just weren't my thing.
I cant believe that I forgot to read this last year! As with all compilation stories, it's hard to rate. The Batdog story is is so good, I want to give the whole thing five stars. I loved that. If you don't want to read the whole thing, at least read that first story. The Harley one was the next best. I was excited to see Dini writing! Snyder's story actually disappointed me. I just wasn't into it and I usually love his Batman stuff. The other ones were a bit forgettable.
Sigh, a Christmas themed issueI was not excited to read a holiday themed issue. But, I got the digital issue for $.99, so why not? Well, I wasn't impressed.

Every story felt a little incomplete
Set in the tradition of old , This annual featured five short stories based on the Christmas season . Each story is decent and I don't really want to moan about things that i didnt approve of , because at the end of the day this was a short story collection published just for the purpose of the Holiday season .The first story was about the return of Ace the Bat-hound into the Batman Continuity , The second one being a busy Christmas night for Batman where he enjoys a moment of silence , The thir...
This is a fun little anthology. The Ace story is awesome (oh, Bruce, you ninny!), and I love Batman absent-mindedly singing carols along with Harley. The other stories are kinda so-so, but I pretty much love any Bat-centric story, so I was happy with the book, as a whole. More Ace, though, please! Good dog, indeed!! <3
Ace Dog + Harley + acrobatic stories were pretty good. Rest meh
Muchas historias de navidad que no me hicieron sentir mucho. Son comics bien hecho pero no le cambiaran la vida a nadie.
Something nice to read over Christmas!!!
Separated in little stories, none of them are really great, and there's no bad one neither, so a very average annual for this year.
Loved the last line said by Batman to the Haunter and Scarecrow in βThe Insecurity Diversionβ. βITβS THE HOLIDAYS ,SO IβM HAPPY TO GO WITH WHICHEVER ONE YOU CHOOSE. FREEZE HERE , OR GO BACK TO GOTHAM. YOU HAVE fIVE MINUTES TO LET ME KNOW YOUR DECISION. OH, JAWS STUCK ? I CAN LOOSEN THEM FOR YOU. β You just canβt get enough of Batman. Also I loved the scene where Bruce was there telling Ace that he could be a Bathound for Christmas. He also gave Ace a small mask. He then asked Alfred what his gift...
These were just Christmas stories. Nothing too big. Some nice Christmas story-like art in the Batman and Harley one. An interesting tease of the Stag, whom I'll apparently see later in this Batman series, which could be interesting.

Overall this is a solid annual. In general annuals aren't the best comics but this one was solid. It's winter themed and so it has a nice holiday ring to it. The middle story with Harley Quinn is kind of a bust yet still amusing. The first three stories are pretty entertaining. It's not groundbreaking and I would have preferred one long stories rather than five short stories but it's a fun read.
What a mess... I't like they didn't have any proper works, or ideas for this one, so, they've just packed some random naΓ―ve Christmas stuff that doesn't really fit anywhere and called it a day. I don't mind having such Christmas shorts as a bonus to something real, but having the entire issue filled with them... Sorry, no. Can't stand it.
This was not nearly as good as the Titans Rebirth Annual. I felt like this issue was a waste of my time, and I'm really sorry to say this for DC. I only enjoyed the last story with Haunter, but that's all. :(
The Ace story hurt my heart and I always love an appearance from Scarecrow.
The first story was uninteresting and dumb but the second story captivated my interest and ended well. I loved the ending tbh. I want to see more of this story
