The Abominable Snowmen was the first script written by Metvyn Haisman and Henry Lincoln, and the success of this science-fiction explanation to the legends of the Himalayan Yeti led to the sequel, The Web of Fear. A further Yeti story was planned in 1969, but never materialized.
