Spitting Images

Spitting Images

Roger Law
3.6/5 ( ratings)
This is the book that brings the famous all together - in collision. A crop of Britain's leading writers have a go at the greatest Spitting Images of our time, and produce the wittiest book of the year. There's mystery too...and figuring out who is savaging who is just one of the many delights of this brilliantly illustrated book.

All the 'victims', from the Queen to Jack Nicholson, sat for their portraits in the Camden studios of John Lawrence Jones.

Most are familiar figures from Spitting Image's cruel and intensely satisfying television puppet show, but they have never been captured in quite this way before.

All the puppet models have been refined and some have been completely rebuilt, Mrs Thatcher for one - 'Because we've never been really satisfied with her,' says Law - and Mick Jagger for another - 'He's aged so.'

As for what they've gone and done with Neil Kinnock...Well that, for the moment, remains another mystery.
