At the 2006 World Cup in Germany I was lucky enough to stay with a local friend, Dennis, who welcomed me into his family, immersing me in German culture and cuisine – from home brewed beer to black forest cake to venison goulash . To this day when I taste any of those flavors, the best experiences I had at the World Cup come back to me. I hope this book can help you to create the same kind of memories.
