Trekking Map 1:50,000 This map is double-sided. The front page shows the trail from Jiri to Namche Bazaar. This beautiful alternative to the flight to or from Lukhla will take you 7 days . It is a rather arduous journey because you will either ascent or descent and on some days after a long hard day you will be lower than at the strating point!. But most of the people enjoy very much this trek passing by many little villages. Andrees de Ruiter and Prem Rai made a survey in Dec. 2013 and collected the GPS Data from many new lodges which were then entered in the new 2014 edition. This enables you to decide much later in the afternoon to continue or to stop. Often flights from Lukhla are cancelled for several days due to bad weather. In this case this map will help you to walk down to Jiri or Sallerie catching there a bus or Jeep and later your plane in Kathmandu. The back side shows a perfect view of the upper Khumbu from Trashi Lapsa in the west to Island Peak in the East including the Gokyo and EBC trek. It includes the three passes Renjo la, Cho la and Kongma la. in the south it shows Mera Peak and Amphu Labsa!. It is more complete than NE 517 and NE 519! Because it is double-sided it is a little bit more expensive than the single sided maps but definitively a very good choice!
