After the foregoing considerations, and others, had been duly weighed, it was voted unanimous ly that it was expedient to hold such a Congress, and that this informal meeting, made up of rep resentatives from several states, should issue a call for it. After a little further conference, St. Louis was selected as the place, the latter part of April as the time, and a committee was ap pointed to arrange a program, issue the call and make all needful arrangements for the Congress. The committee did its duty to the best of its ability, and the First Congress of the Disciples of Christ was the result.
