The investment of School Funds is one of the most important duties to be performed. The chief considerations in making investments are to make them safe and profitable. The safety of the School Fund, not only for the time being, but in view of the future, with all its contingencies, is of paramount importance. An unsafe investment, at the very highest rate of interest, is hazardous.
