Millions of people go through the transition to a new country every year. This is always an adventure, a quest, i.e. embarking onto the unknown. People are usually anxious when trying to set foot in a new country and to integrate, and this guide serves to make such an attempt an easier ride and a success.

It is based on the hands-on experience of the author in this domain and includes also real situations from his encounters with new environments and settling in.

This is a contemporary guide / manual about the transition phase of a person from planning to set foot in a new country, to finding a job or other involvement, and settling in. This guide is about making an assured success of such a transition. This is about the transition phase until you settle in and earn your living, i.e. until you start contributing to this new place. We are talking about a preparation period that can stretch up to 1 year before making the move to the new country, and adaptation period of some 4 - 6 months in the new country once you have landed.

This guide does not make this transition much more effective only, but is intended also to reduce this integration period to a minimum. The approach used addresses present day circumstances and means of coping, and modern communication, e.g. social media, about our time in 2017. This is all irrespective of your age , rank or gender etc.

Whatever the country in question, the tips covered in this guide apply and will make it much easier for you to settle in and succeed
