Great stories, good art.
Much better than the previous entry in the series. Contains some really dark, but interesting stories.
I think what I like most about the Jonah Hex volumes is that the characters are real and you care about them. Rare in comics.
The closing story in the volume about JH having an encounter in his later years with a heretofore unknown son is a bit odd, but entirely fitting if not viewed as canon but rather just a fantasy.

There are anti-heroes and then there is Jonah Hex. He is an alcoholic psycho and still I like him.
This is volume five in DC Comics’ story of Jonah Hex. Hex is a bounty hunter operating in the Wild West and this book is a collection of short stories about his adventures…and in this volume I would say also his misadventures. Volume five collects issues 25-30.In this volume we see in the beginning Jonah Hex meeting his son and he doesn’t react rightly to his long lost son. In fact Hex comes out swinging. Which is rather disappointing. Hex is indeed a figure that is a disturbing man; a wild cowb...
Jonah Hex helps the Rurales led by Jason Hex to catch a bunch of criminals. (view spoiler)[Jonah is Jason's father, but doesn't feel like reuniting with family, so he rides off into the sunset. (hide spoiler)] He then punishes serial killer Holly and her friend by giving them a taste of their own medicine. An orphaned boy turns into a bounty hunter as successful as Jonah, though his targets are corrupt lawmen. Jonah then deals with criticism for his way of life, a massacre of natives and train r...
Another fantastic addition to the Hex history books. I loved the stories involving Star Man, town killer, bad luck, and some crazy sisters. The art was top notch. Overall, one of my favorites, so far.
After volume 4 was a bit of a let down this one picks up where the earlier volumes left off. Not much to say other than I love these Western tales with our anti-hero Hex. The art - for the most part - is great and the stories - for the most part - are great. There are a few tales that could have been forgotten (the one with the Scorpion Tribe was especially confusing in terms of story and art) but overall I was entertained and loved it. I'll be back for Volume 6 :).
More short stories that cover different episodes of Hex's life. Instead of a flashback, this book starts with a look forward. The stories are hard hitting and compelling. I am deeply enjoying this series.
Like the other volumes in this series Justin Gray & Jimmy Palmiotti knocks it out of the park with this gritty & violent western series about confederate soldier turned bounty hunter, Jonah Hex.Highly recommended.
Artwork Average to excellent.Story: Confusing to great. You have to be a fan of the western to like this , I believe. Some of the artwork was a little muddled and it made the story confusing to follow. But cowboys and Indians of old. who wouldn't like that?

Always solid, always gritty. I liked almost every tale in this volume but you learn to hate Jonah Hex in here.
Blodigare Western än så här går inte att hitta. Några delar är dock slarvigt tecknade. Annars är det full fart hela tiden.
Not the best collection but still highly entertaining.
Dibujacos de Jordi Bernet y Rafa Garrés. Eso sí que es Marca España, y lo demás, tonterías.
I've really enjoyed this series. It has gotten better and better and I think Luck runs out is the best yet.
