Deaf Liberation

Deaf Liberation

Raymond Lee
5/5 ( ratings)
Incredible as it may seem to society, the sign languages of Deaf people all around the world were banned from 1880 onwards, and Deaf people themselves barred from contact with Deaf children lest they 'contaminate' the children with Sign. This has resulted in catastrophic reading levels amongst those children, not to mention the damage caused to their self-confidence and sense of Identity...
... In this book, writings of Deaf people are presented to the public for the first time ever to commemorate a historic moment in time when the breakthrough first began
