The Apache Kid is on the run in Wyoming. He has escaped from a trap laid for him and his companions when they planned to rob the Westbound Express. The Kid, wounded in the shoulder, is the only one to get away. He falls exhausted, and is found by a girl, Jenny, who proves a true friend and takes him to her home until he is fit again.
Trouble still follows the Kid, however, and he is called on to release Jenny and her father who, owing to the machinations of an enemy, are cast into jail. The releasing of Jenny and her father is quickly effected by the Kid, but they are now all outlaws, and they hit the trail.
They spend many months eluding their pursuers, not without hazards and bloodshed, but the acumen and bravery of the Apache Kid brings them through.
