A continuation with the main characters from my short story "Remembering Jessica," Alex is requested to pick up someone from the airport. Without being told "who" to pick up, his life is turned upside down when he meets that person at the airport. The person at the airport is not whom they appear to be.
How would you go about your daily life knowing that the person beside you is not the person that you remember? Despite them acting, knowing & looking like the person you once knew; would you treat them any different? If you did treat them different, would you be at peace with yourself?
Some boundaries should never be crossed because crossing that line can be disastrous consequences. Living with those consequences can be a nightmare. For that "person" that Alex picked up at the airport, nightmares can come to life.
