Purple Shader

Purple Shader

Brenda Tucker
0/5 ( ratings)
The story begins at the Pond, AnnieEm’s parents’ favorite place. Her Dad had passed a couple of years ago and her Mom had just recently died. At their request, AnnieEm was to release their combined ashes here at the Pond. Her Mom, Em, had prepared a Pandora’s Box for the occasion. Inside the box, among other things, was her Mom’s autobiography. We will join AnnieEm in reading the account of her mother’s life’s journey beginning with “that Monday Morning in October” so many years ago. The day she looked in the mirror to find a Purple Shader looking back at her. Her life was changed and would forever be affected by this new cross to bear.
The Purple Shader is a contemporary novel set in the late 60’s, early 70’s. An easy read, this simple story subtly emphasizes the need for acceptance of diversity in all walks of life…from the battlefields of Vietnam to the designed haven of six friends known as the Beachfront Six Pack. If nothing else, the reader should come away with points to ponder in today’s realm of life’s journey.
