Examinations can be a stressful time for all students, but scientifically, what are the most effective ways to prep.

First, don't leave it until the last minute.

Last-minute cramming is great for some students but an absolute disaster for others.

Cramming is widely accepted as not the best way to approach an exam.

Pace your studying rather than waiting until the last minute.

The following ideas are partly the result of reading; but since there is a meagre quantity of literature bearing on this general theme, they are largely the result of observation, experiment, and discussion with my students.
