⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! Everest (stand-alone). What-ifs, an unfolding mystery with a hot-cold & enigmatic Ethan Everest! “His smile remains, and if I’m not mistaken, maybe a little wistfulness is seen in the upturn. “Do you believe in destiny?” Everest (stand-alone) opens up one year in the past to an almost get-together between mogul Ethan Everest and assistant Singer Davis. Fast forward one year and they meet again. A hot cold relationship, secrets and danger. What happened that night?...
Everest was my third book by S.L. Scott and this is by far my favorite now!"That man. He’s affecting my head and my heart. That only means one thing—Trouble."I really don't know where to begin. Maybe with saying that Ethan Everest is the most perfect book-boyfriend I've met since I'm addicted to reading romance books. I fell for him like he fell for Singer: as soon as he first laid eyes on her. I've noticed throughout the whole book: This man seriously seems to have no flaws. Ethan is kind, atte...
**There are spoilers so don’t read if you don’t want to see my rant* So once again I am the odd ball. I really did not like this at all, in fact not one bit. I don’t know if I am in a book funk or what but I really did not like one thing about this - not one thing. Everest was so all over the place I just couldn’t stand him. He sees Singer at a party and is just drawn to her. He knows she is not like the other woman he had relations with and it quite smitten with her. So what does Everest do whe...
Didn't work for me. Hero despite being utterly enthralled with heroine when meeting and connecting with her, bypassed her and chose someone else. He stayed with this OW for months. Playing house and enjoying himself. He even ran into heroine from time to time but didn't break away from his other chick. I mean, he would kept on with that life with OW if the witch hadn't betrayed him with his best friend. Everest only comes back to Singer because he was thoroughly screwed by the very people he dit...
h seems rather insecure and inexperienced from this scene for my tastes:~Excerpt~ “But you said you don’t take baths.” “I also said I’ve never used this one. Seems like an opportune time.” “But I’m naked,” I say, worried about everything—his body naked next to mine, not shaving my legs before I went out tonight. My mind flickers through my flaws. Ugh. No. Just no. Not like that. That stuff should be shared in the dark of a bedroom under the influence of alcohol and desperate sex. We’re too sober...
Everest by S.L. Scott is the story of Ethan and Singer. Ethan saw Singer at a house party and knew she was special. When he found her alone he almost kissed her but was distracted by another women. Although it seem they saw each other from a distance through out the year. Singer was a sweet caring women who allowed Ethan to make his way toward her on his time frame I thought. This book does start off slow but it does pick up and work with your emotions. Although I love the instant love/desire t
I really liked this book. At first it was a little slow for me, but then the pace picked up and I started really enjoying it. I loved Ethan and Singer’s story. It was very heart felt and I enjoyed seeing them fall in love. Singer was amazing! I liked her from the beginning and I can see myself being her friend in real life. That’s how I know when a female character is good, when I can see myself being friends with her. Ethan was great too! He’s so hot and sexy. I have a serious crush on him. Ove...
4.5 Taking the Risk Stars* * * *1/2 Spoiler Free-99Cents for a Limited Time!!!Fame, Achievement, Vast Wealth... They may all seem like winning the Lottery Ticket to Life's Dreams. Moving this to my NOPE shelf. Can’t connect with a hero who after meets the heroine and almost kissed her, got pulled away by ow and even started dating the ow etc etc etc. All in this review. So many books lately with weak characters https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...And there’s nothing worse and irritating to me as an insecure woman with low self esteem who compares herself to other women thinking they don’t have the same worthy because of looks. P...
4.5 Stars for Ethan Everest"The Man. The Myth. The Mountain"So from the blurb I thought this was a second chance romance but it's not and that was absolutely ok because I still enjoyed this book. More to the point, I really enjoyed Ethan. When he meets Singer he is a bit of a mystery but there is an instant connection that draws them to each other. The chemistry these two have is palpable and there link was electrical.Ethan was known to the world as a playboy billionaire but Singer was not intim...
Dnf 44%This is the first dnf I gave S.L Scott's books after so many four and five stars.I was bored. I was expecting slow burn because that's Scott's style but it dragged and the story was quite flat. The heroine was doormat and shy, hesitation with her answers and she possibly gonna bloom to a princess further down the line but I don't have the patience to wait. I just don't like this kind of heroines. The hero harbored some kind of bullshit secrets that made him act hot and cold and when it fol...
Everest was my first book by S.L. Scott and if this author's other books are this good I’m truly sorry that I waited this long to read one. I went into this completely blind. I think it must have been a book I downloaded one time when it was free because it was already on my Kindle. I just thought from the way it started off that it was going to be a sweet love story but boy was I mistaken!! There is quite a bit of mystery surrounding Ethan Everest but otherwise I figured this would just be a no...
I tried and tried but I just couldn’t engage with the book. Full review to come soon-ish.
