This was not the book I was expecting to read... I didn't realize Reshonda Billingsley wrote Christian books when I picked it up. While it's not my normal type of book, I still enjoyed it. I liked how each of the 4 main characters had their own part... I just wish we had more of a wrap-up at the end. I'm involved with their stories now, I want to know how they all turn out!
I was really looking forward to this book and enjoyed the blurb. However, I wish I'd known ahead of time that the "book" was the Bible. It had a good message of having faith in God, but I wish I'd known ahead of time. It should be classified as Christian. Overall, it was okay. I would like to thank Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with a review copy in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion of it.
This book chronicles the lives of four separate people whose llives are changed by the Bible found in Room 316 of the Markham Hotel. It just shows how we are truly interconnected as a society. Although, I did like the story as a whole, I can't help but feel there is some kind of political agenda throughout this book. Maybe it's just me
God is always right on time! This book was different book very good. I saw how God can connect us with angels . I would reccomend this book to read.
Great read!
What an amazing story to start off the new year!
Angel ~ a spiritual being superior to humans in power and intelligence. Do you believe in angels on earth? We have all said that when a loved one passes away that they are watching over us but is it possible to have a guardian angel? We all have met someone where their actions just made us think, "Wow where did he/she come from? They were right on time!" Is it just good luck or do we have a higher power looking out for our well-being?Savannah Graham is a happily married woman, or so she tho...
This is a must read! I enjoyed each intertwined storyline. Some parts I reread to ensure I understood what had happened. I don't often do that, but if the details matter and I'm so engrossed, I will. You really can't say much with this book. I'm afraid to give anything away. It's about real life situations and how helping others and having faith during those times can lead to change for the better. Do we help others or turn away? Does everything really happen for a reason? The Book in Room 316 w...
This was my first book by this author. This was an awesome book that brought up society issues that are happening today, and showed how with the grace of God things can change for the best! Great book a must read!
The Book in Room 316 gives you four different scenarios of four completely diffrent people lives. This book was like being a fly on the wall and seeing all different sort of things. Every book gives a diffrent reaction to each person that reads it. I love that about this book and The Book in Room 316. You will get what you need every time you read it.Savannah’s experience with the Book in 316 help her deal with betrayal, grief and forgiveness.Ollie’s experience was grief, memories and revelation...
This book consists of 4 stories of characters from Houston whose lives are intertwined. They each face major crises and are touched by the book in hotel room 316. I found the premise of the book interesting and I was wondering throughout how each character would make his or her way to the room. The main reason I didn't care for the book is that the characters seemed really flat and the plot lines were pretty simple. I really didn't care for the first story about Savannah where everyone around ke...
I enjoyed this book. Had a different twist to it.
I really enjoyed this book. She wrote about 4 tough family situations that we may all encounter. An aging parent with children ready to take his independence by way of an assistant living home. An illegal immigrant trying to live right and raise her family alone after being widowed. A married couple trying to reconnect after the wife caught her husband cheating with his best friend's wife. I love the way the stories became intertwined. The Book in room 316, may just save everyone, well almost ev...
I enjoyed the way ReShonda Tate Billingsley intertwined four stories into one. The Book in Room 316 tells the story of strength, faith and love. I would love to see a continuation to Trey’s story.
This book was phenomenal! I loved every minute of it! I definitely recommend this book! :)
This book was an amazing first read for the New Year! There were four short stories and I loved how ReShonda connected the characters together. This book emphasized the power of faith in God and exemplifies that everything happens for a reason! I recommend this one.
A “feel good” book-Separate stories intertwined with a book in room 316. Real life dramas. I real enjoyed it.
AmazingThis book was a different read for me but I loved it. I loved how Reshonda kept everything focused on faith. I was able to relate to the storyline. I recommend to others to read this amazing book, you won't be disappointed.
GreatThis book was a great read. Although there were four short stories I loved how she weaved the characters together.
Christian fiction showing how God uses even bad situations to work to the good.
