The mind, according to Aristotle, is the form of forms; and the hand is the tool of tools. When hand and mind unite to forge objects of beauty and order, these may be works of science or of art. The exhibit "Aspects of Art and Science," based upon the concepts of MIT Professor Emeritus Cyril Stanley Smith, reflects the happy conjunction of hand and mind, of heart and eye, of matter and form, and of art and science. The Greek unity of beauty and utility, knowledge and skill are clearly embodied in the seventy-odd objects that are here assembled and displayed.
