Lita is a little girl bean, a frijolita, who lives in a can in Frijolandia, the land of living beans, where all beans travel in flying spoons and forks. Lita is in 5th grade. She is leading a normal happy life with her bean parents and her best bean friend until one day suddenly strange things start happening to her and her amazing adventure begins. Soon she is the most famous bean in all of Frijolandia. When she begins to see what's happening to her in a new light, she finds out how happy she can be. The story is full of a variety of colorful personalities and is profusely and amusingly illustrated.
