One Christmas Wish

One Christmas Wish

Belinda Martin
0/5 ( ratings)
Amy Attwood’s Christmas promises to be the same as every other – a small lunch for two with her hypochondriac mother. In fact, Amy’s whole life seems to revolve around her mother in one way or another – living with her while she longs to get her own place, taking her duty as carer seriously even if she suspects that half her mother’s ailments are as mythical as her own social life. Two things save her from descending into absolute hopelessness – her best friend Kira and her newly found passion for singing in the choir of the hospital where she works. That’s where she meets Rakesh – handsome, humble and intelligent and totally beyond her reach. At least that’s what she tells herself. Kira thinks that the only thing stopping Amy from telling Rakesh how she feels about him is her fear of rejection, but the stronger the friendship with him grows the greater that fear becomes.

Over the months they become closer and so many times she plucks up the courage to tell him, only for it to fail again. But on Christmas Eve her world is torn apart by tragedy. Amy suddenly understands that life is short and sometimes you have to take chances. But is it too late? Will sorrow bring Amy and Rakesh together or drive them forever apart?
