Esta obra que ha tenido varias ediciones v que ha sido vertida al italiano, se ocupa incidentalmente de San Martín, durante su estadia en España. Al relatar los sucesos que tuvieron lugar en la época en que los ejércitos ingleses y españoles, de los cuales aquél for maba parte, lucharon con ahinco hasta conseguir ex pulsar del suelo ibérico á las aguerridas huestes de Napoleón I.
