This story first appeared in the 1966 issue of esquire with an illustration by the cartoonist Stan Mack.
It inspired the 1972 Hollywood movie, The Heartbreak Kid, directed by Elaine May. This was subsequently remade in 2007 by the Farrelly brothers, with Ben Stiller in the lead.
