RoseGreat short story! I loved the surprise ending. Reading about people growing up and doing things that are against moral code is something I enjoy doing. Then finding how it turns out is best.
Intriguing premise. Starts off promising, but the pace slows and erodes the sense of suspense. The changing of point-of-view could have been handled better. The change in one of those POVs to second-person especially doesn't work well. I also found the overuse of italics annoying. An interesting story that could be something special with some reworking.
Excellent story! Found on a free site, every word of this story was exciting and the twist ending was great. These stories, as a way to introduce writers, are a wonderful idea and I've signed up for their newsletter.
A two character point of view.A great short story told both by the arsonist and by the arson investigator. The story is fast moving and will keep you guessing. Can you figure out who the arsonist is by the clues he gives you about his childhood and his present day. Recommended
Good storyGot this one free, but it was still a good story. I will invest a little time and read more of this author's work.
