Mystery Poo Buddy ReadI didn't really like this as much as I thought I would.I wanted more of the cool Young Avengers team that I read last year.Instead, I got some sort of angsty teenage shit with dumbass teenagers.Yes, I realize how stupid I sound.Ok. It's not that bad, but damn those kids were mopey. Each issue featured one (maybe two) of the Young Avengers, and kind of told a bit about them. Not an origin story, so much as a What I'm Doing Now story.Patriot & Stature were the worst. JESBUS wi...
This book collects the six Young Avengers one-shots, each of which focused on one or two of the team. It's not as good as a proper Young Avengers book but if this is all that's on offer, I'll definitely take it.Considering these were one-offs written by other writers, there were quite a few major character moments in this one.
Once again: I would die for Kate Bishop.
Issue #1 - PATRIOTI feel a lot of respect for this character, bc he's always fighting against racism and even though he's a little bit out of control of his rage. But I can understand why he's like that. This issue just give you that insight.Issue #2 - HULKINGI could write an entire essay about how much I love this character. I've been reading a little about him, but still I have come to love him. He's so pure in so many ways, and this issue just shows some of the fears he has to endure and I ju...
The kids are cute. :)
I liked this, but wish it would have been larger. Basically my only complaint. I thought the stories included were interesting, added to the character development, and there was some (very relevant and thought provoking) social justice issues thrown in as well.
I really loved the Teddy, Billy & Tommy and Kate stories here. The Eli story was pretty good but I did not enjoy the Vision or Cassie stories. The definition added to Kate and Eli here was really great to see and I love how this collection set up Children's Crusade.
I think at some point Marvel's most brilliant minds sat down together and thought: hey, we have awesome characters in those new Young Avengers. Why not get to know them a little?Don’t get me wrong here, superheroes are made to punch things out and look cool doing it. But I don’t care about the fight if I’m not rooting for our hero, and I’m not rooting for our hero if I don’t know him. The original run of Young Avengers gave us great character moments between—and during—the action, and YA Present...
MY BABIES.
Meh
Six stories about individuals or pairs of Young Avengers by six different teams of writes, artists etc set just after the Initiative is set up in the post Marcel Civil War world. 6 out of 12.
Hawkeye's story was great, 5 stars. Then come Hukling's and the twins', 4 stars. Vision's was okay, 3 stars. Stature was somewhat bleh, 2.5 and the best thing about Patriot's was Bucky, 2 stars.Need to read more Civil War, the part concerning the Young Avengers at least. I'll look for it.
It was good.Gave me some insite on the characters which i needed for 5 out of the six, since i read the collected edition of hawkeye and kaye bishop. The only one that was a little hard to follow behind on was vision, it's a bit confusing honestly. Only because i watched the mcu before reading any of the comics, so i know how he's created in there, i know how he dies in there, but them mentioning kang the conqueror and how this vision is from the future and all that jazz confuses me on the conte...
